MUSICIAN BIO
David Jones is a Country guitarist out of Northwest Indiana. Once a drummer, he found his passion for guitar when he started playing at the age of 13. Mostly self-taught from watching YouTube videos and thru learning music by ear. David had one year of classical guitar training from classical guitarist, Mario Moreno. During his time with Mario, he learned proper technique, and it helped him to grow as a guitarist.
David started out as a Metal guitarist, performing in local bands, Noise Complaint, and Dead & Buried (A Day to Remember Tribute Band). David crossed over to country music when he became the lead guitarist for a region country band, Steel Country. For the next year, or so, he performed with Steel Country at local venues, and festivals around Northwest Indiana. Most recently, he was the lead guitarist for the band, Whiskey Thomas.
David got deeper in to classic country guitar, through his past mentor, Tom Zank (former guitarist from Hoosier Highway). In just a few years, David has had the pleasure to work with some great musicians, and sound engineers.
David is the lead guitarist for country artist, Nate Venturelli. and acoustic guitarist for Ashlyn, a young, up and coming country vocalist.
Some of David's biggest musical influences include Brent Mason, Brad Paisley, Roy Clark, Tom Zank, and Chuck Ward, to name a few.
